1. POS printed receipts enhancements - custom QR code
Great for Shopify merchants who operate both online and in physical locations, Shopify has enhanced its point-of-sale (Shopify POS) printed receipts feature with new custom QR code capabilities. The new feature allows merchants to create custom QR codes that can be printed on receipts. Shopify POS receipts can also be customized further to include logo, address, staff attributed to sale, and so much more.
2. Google Analytics 4
Google Analytics 4, the latest version of Google's web analytics platform, is replacing the old Universal Analytics on Shopify by July 1, 2023.
Right now, Google Analytics 4 is available through the Google channel app on Shopify, enabling merchants to make the upgrade and take full advantage of its enhanced real-time, multi-channel measurement and privacy controls. This integration provides merchants with more comprehensive data and insights into their store's performance and customer behavior. The new version of Google Analytics uses machine learning to bridge gaps in your data that can help merchants identify trends and patterns in customer behavior, and predictive metrics that can forecast future customer actions.

3. The Shop sales channel has been added to Shopify admin
Shopify has added a new sales channel called "Shop" to its admin dashboard, which allows eligible merchants to connect with customers through a dedicated mobile shopping app called Shop.
If you aren't familiar with Shop, Shop is a shopping app and delivery tracking app that is available on iOS and Android devices, and it's where customers can go to discover new stores and products, get customized deals and discounts.
With the Shop sales channel, merchants can create a custom storefront within the app, manage product listings, respond to reviews, and even conduct in-app offers or promos.
4. Shopify Search & Discovery app updates
Shopify has rolled out new updates to its Shopify Search & Discovery app, providing merchants handling large product catalogs with new tools to improve the search experience for customers and better manage their long list of products. The updated app includes new features, including a new and improved bulk editing feature for multiple products within the index table to manage product recommendations and search boosts.
5. New navigation menu bar for POS
Shopify has released a new navigation menu bar for Shopify POS— with all the same tools in a new place, making it easier for merchants to manage their stores. To help you navigate between different areas of Shopify POS faster, the app menu has been redesigned to surface key launch points with a single tap.
With a fresh and streamlined design, key in-store actions like Orders, Products, and Customers are now conveniently laid out for easy access, and staff can switch between different parts of the POS app with just one tap. Even better, important features like Analytics, Register, Staff, and Settings are now just a single tap away, thanks to the new More menu badge.

6. Connecting Shopify Balance with QuickBooks
Connecting Shopify Balance with QuickBooks is a breeze thanks to the latest update, and can be done in just a few steps. This powerful integration enables seamless synchronization of your Balance transactions between both accounts, saving you valuable time and effort during tax season.
This new integration update is great because you can easily and accurately manage your financial data, reducing manual efforts and making it easy to hand off your numbers to bookkeepers and accountants.
7. New rich text features in online store editor
An exciting update, the online store editor now boasts new rich text features, including ordered lists and headings. These features make it easy for merchants to configure semantic styling for text throughout their online store, creating a more consistent and visually appealing experience for their customers. What's even better is that this update aligns the feature set within the rich text metafield and the rich text setting in the online store editor, ensuring a seamless and cohesive experience across the platform.
